When you need parts for your BMW motorcycle which lie outside the normal realm of BMW parts, this list is intended to be a source of parts suppliers.

Are you thinking about modifing you bike to use HID headlight bulbs? Before you do, read what Daniel Stern has to say.

Do you need the foremost expert in BMW elektrical systems and elektrical parts? Look no further. Rick Jones, of  Motorrad Elektrik is your man.

If you want brand new, OEM or replacement, higher capacity alternators, or OEM or replacement gear driven starters (yeah, a French made starter on a German machine? At least it's not Lucas...) then euro motoelectrics of Monument, Colorado is a good place to look.

Bench Mark Works has resourced many of these old parts. Vech is about as knowledgeable as there is on older BMW motorcycles, and can help you solve many of your problems.

Do you need to mount a GPS or other device? Ram Mounts is the place.

Cycle Gadgets has a variety of motorcycle accessories, including many specific to BMW. Cycle Gadgets Unfortunately, Cycle Gadgets closed the doors on 14 January, 2011. They will be missed.

Beemer Boneyard, of New Jersey has a good selection of used parts.

Re-Psycle, of Ohio, has a large supply of previously owned parts.

Cycles Recycled of North Carolina, parts out used BMW's, and has a huge selection of previously owned parts.

Motorworks, of West Yorkshire, England, has a large supply of previously owned parts, as well as many new unique parts, such as cast iron brake rotors for BMW. Unfortunately, as this time, they do not ship to the colonies....

Dresser Tire, an aircraft tire recapper, has an interesting line of tires for motorcycles, especially in the 17" sizes.

Need suspension parts? Ikon is a new name from an old company. They are said to have taken over the old Koni line of shocks.

Have you broken a fuel line or oil line quick disconnect? Omega Engineering has some replacements in chrome-plated brass or stainless steel.

Ted Porter's Beemer Shop recently special ordered a large quantity of chrome plated brass quick disconnects with the Viton O-rings. Viton is the preferred material for use with today fuels containg alcohol or biodiesel.

Fast by Ferracci is another source of brass quick disconnect fittings.

Cole Parmer is yet another source of brass quick disconnect fittings.

Colder Products is rumored to be the source BMW uses for quick disconnects. Colder Products

No matter where you get your quick disconnects, make sure you get them with Viton O-rings, as they are impervious to gasoline and alcohol.

Looking for recognition lights for your front end? Motolight is a well known manufacturer and supplier of specialty lighting products.

Wanting to install relays for your headlight, or other high load equipment? Eastern Beaver is a good source of relays and relay kits.

Need electrical connectors or adapters for your farkles? Powerlet has them.

Hall Effect Sensor

Do you need a replacement Hall Effect Sensor for your oilhead or K bike? BMW only sells the complete assembly, for about a week's pay. However, a rebuilt sensor is available from our webmaster. See email address below.

Do you need just the teflon wiring for the Hall Effect Sensor? (The wiring is the most common failure). In the past, Charlie Coons had this wire in stock in 18" lengths. Charlie has requested that our webmaster take over distribution, and he has done so.

Do you need new U-joints for your drive shaft (especially the paralever models)? Look HERE !
