2009 Red Bull Romaniacs Video
Here is the 2009 Red Bull Romaniacs video. This is a five day
rally. The first day is on city streets, and the course is extremely challenging for
the riders, and delightful for the spectators. The next four days are more typical,
off road, rally riding, with a good mixture of more typical trials terrain mixed in.
And rookie Andreas Lettenbichler, on a BMW 450X ends up as the first bike across the finish
line. The finish line is a bit different, as it's located on top of the highest building
in town. This is some extremely challenging riding.
Watch out for the wall ride, the shakey bridge, the rail bridge, and the swamp, not forgetting,
of course, the finish line.
Your webmaster rode enduros in the '60s, but the level of riding, the ability and agility of the machines, and the challenges of the courses are so much higher today than in the '60s. These rally masters today have some really outrageous ideas about how to layout a course.
